I had the honor to give a quick 5 minute educational talk about native plants being used to help restore California native ecosystems- specifically how does plant nurseries help restoration projects. I dubbed this talk as From Gardens to Wildlands: Why Raising Native Plants in Nurseries Restores our Ecosystems where I used my experience from my capstone, education from CSU Channel Islands, as well as recent volunteer experience to demonstrate to local gardening enthusiasts the benefits of native plants for their own projects.
